Cameron Witt was raised in Salt Lake City where books and fairy tales were a preferable pastime to getting stuck in winter construction traffic. Utah’s sandstone arches, great salt lakes, and forested mountains fueled her many young daydreams. She developed a particular fondness for fantasy deserts, forests, and thoughts of the creatures that might dwell there. As a bisexual woman and advocate for mental health, her goal is to provide support and understanding through her writing to young queer people who live with mental illness. Unanimous editorial winner of Tapas Media’s Writer’s Camp Contest, she released her first two webnovels in 2018 to a growing audience of 13,000. When she’s not writing, she can be found hunting through dusty antique shops for aesthetic creepy crawlies to add to her collection. Cam lives with her cat, Bandit, whom she tries to impress with badly-rendered Broadway covers of her favorite musicals.
